Kempley
PERSONALITY
Kempley is a survivor. She can work her way out of tough situations and she's known for having this certain confidence about her, like nothing can touch her. She's hard, but she isn't a loner. She cares very much for other people and even assumes the motherly position in most cases. She's a good caretaker - bold and sacrificial - and she can put up a fight whenever that may be necessary. She has a strong need for purpose and attention; she craves the things that she never got as a child. Even though she readily accepts the title of 'nurturer,' she can be quite masculine and rough... a side effect of growing up with multiple older brothers. She never felt quite like she fit in, giving her the drive that she needed someone to want her; to depend on her. Having no desire for children or a sexual relationship, she sought out becoming the "mother" of a band of criminals. She's very sneaky, running a store that meets the inspections' standards and selling odd-arms under the table. She acts as the sole fund for firearms in her area to criminals of all shapes and sizes. She doesn't like to think of herself as a bad person. All she really needed was to serve a purpose, and these people who had been tossed aside, chewed up and spit out by the world; they accepted her more readily than she had ever been accepted. She becomes lonely very quickly and loves the company and attention of other people. She can also be very gentle with those who need it. She has a still, soft voice that's great for singing lullabies. She's the perfect comforter and aid to the psychotic and she is soothing for the distressed. One thing that has always bothered Kempley is her overactive imagination. There isn't a single situation that she hasn't already imagined. Her own mind can be very disturbing to her, but she's still managed to keep it in tact. Though it bothers her, this can also be a helpful tool, because she always knows her way out of scenarios she's already dreamed up. Kempley seems so innocent and delicate to those who don't really know her, and she could pull just about anything off without anyone giving her a second thought. She has become increasingly spiteful from the years when she was disregarded, but she is working through those emotions to focus on her need and calling here. Kempley is a real sucker for family dynamics, since she never really felt at home with her birth family. She compares her band of criminals to her family, because they're really all she has.
